Interpol warrant sought by Tajik government since 1997. Accused of plotting to kill Rahmon on 30 April 1997; accused of involvement in the Khodoberdiyev conflict in 1998. Also accused of "abuse of power while holding political office, including embezzlement and racketeering charges." Recent interest in him may be due to alleged links to Dodojon Atuvulloev (also in this database) (Parshin, 2013).

Arrested on arrival in Kiev in 5 February 2013 on an Interpol Red Notice warrant (Parshin, 2013).

He was released on 4 April 2013 after Ukrainian authorities refused an extradition order from the Tajik government (Kyiv Post, 2013).
