Sattarov, Mehrobon
Who, Why and How exiled: He was arrested in Moscow on December 3, 2014 at the request of Tajik authorities. Applied for asylum, but was denied (Atayeva, 2015).
Stage 1 details (accusations/ charges/ Interpol notice/ extradition requests): Accused of committing crimes under articles: 307.1, Part 1 and 2 (public appeals to violent change of the constitutional order of the Republic of Tajikistan); 307.2, Part 2 (organization of an extremist community) of the Criminal Code of Tajikistan (Atayeva, 2015).
Stage 2 details (arrest/ detention/ extradition): Sattarov was arrested in Moscow on 3 December 2014 at the request of Tajikistan for extradition (TajInfo, 2014; Atayeva, 2015).
Other actions during Stages 1–3 (dispossession/ overseas assets frozen/ intimidation/ action against associates/ …): Sattarov was the trustee of the leader of the movement Maksud Ibragimov. Ibragimov was abducted in Moscow in January 2015. He was then illegally exported to Tajikistan, where he was subjected to torture and was sentenced to 17 years in prison (TajInfo, 2014)

Current status: Being detained in Prison #4 in Moscow and awaiting the decision related to extradition (TajInfo, 2014; Atayeva, 2015; Новая Газета, 2016).
